How Does The Program Work?

The UMKC RN-BSN program is extremely flexible to fit your lifestyle. This is an online program, so at no time are you required to come to campus. The program is for current RN’s only, you must be a registered nurse to apply.

UMKC support services are available to all distance education students. Our online students are treated the same as our on-campus students, and every student is assigned an Academic Advisor and Faculty Mentor.

You will love learning from our highly qualified, online certified, clinically and professionally active faculty. We also offer peer mentoring by senior RN-BSN students, and plenty of opportunities for student-to-student interaction.

The Value of Real-World Experience
We understand the value of practical, real-world experience, and while many online degrees struggle to offer this, at UMKC we pride ourselves on offering more interactive experiences to our RN-BSN students than most other programs.

During the final year of the RN-BSN curriculum, student teams work collaboratively with RN-BSN supervisory faculty, healthcare organizations and hospitals to obtain real-world experiences that will empower you to assume leadership roles after graduation.
